About

Tricia is a clinical counsellor, art therapist, somatic/body-oriented psychotherapist, supervisor and well-being coach. Since 2010, she has supported numerous individuals to navigate life’s challenges, recover from the impacts of trauma and reconnect with their innate capacity for healing and growth. Her work gently guides the unwinding of subconscious patterns, with a focus on releasing what holds us back, reconnecting with our authentic selves, and cultivating a life that feels rich, meaningful, and fulfilling.

She brings over 15 years of experience counselling adults, adolescents, and children across a range of settings, including private practice, in-patient and out-patient mental health services, sexual assault recovery service, and schools. Her clinical practice is supported by extensive professional training and supervision.

Tricia is also an explorer of human potential, with over twenty years of personal development experience. Through her personal and professional journey, she has developed a deep appreciation for the interconnected nature of our mental, emotional, physical, and energetic experiences; and for the ways our relationships and environments shape and influence our wellbeing.

This understanding has led to her commitment to a holistic approach that supports the body’s wisdom to return to balance and harmony, to facilitate healing and transformation that deepen our natural experience of aliveness, freedom, joy, connection, and purpose.

Tricia aims to offer a safe and supportive therapeutic container where individuals can explore their challenges, deepen connection with different aspects of themselves, and move toward a fuller sense of wholeness.

She is also a supervisor with a focus on supporting fellow therapists and helping professionals to prevent or recover from compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma or burnout, through trauma-informed supervision and reflective practice.

As an extension of her clinical work, Tricia offers individual coaching and group wellness programs for women who wish to release limiting beliefs and patterns, strengthen their mind-body-spirit connection, and consciously create a life that feels authentic, vibrant, and fulfilling.

Style

Tricia’s therapeutic style is respectful, compassionate, collaborative and intuitive. She honours each client’s unique experience and inherent healing intelligence by supporting them to attune to their nervous system and allowing regulation to unfold at its own pace. She invites mindfulness and curiosity with an emphasis on cultivating present-moment awareness of cognitive, emotional and somatic/body-based experience. Clients are supported to develop practical skills that expand inner capacity and strengthen external resources, fostering greater agency and self-empowerment.

Modality & Approach

Tricia works from a humanistic and integrative framework, grounded in client-centred, trauma-responsive, strengths-based and culturally sensitive practice. Her work is often well-suited to individuals seeking a holistic, gentle, yet deeply transformative approach, particularly those who have engaged in therapy previously yet continue to feel stuck or disconnected from lasting change.

Tricia is continuously expanding her knowledge and refining her skills, and her therapeutic offerings include a wide range of modalities that honour the mind-body connection. Her work is informed by contemporary understandings of neuroscience, trauma, and attachment theory, alongside practices rooted in ancient wisdom traditions that are increasingly validated by emerging scientific research.

PERSONAL INSIGHT

What is a quote or phrase that really resonates with you?

I love this quote by Sheree Bliss Tilsley as it beautifully illustrates my therapeutic approach:

"I will not rescue you;
For you are not powerless.
I will not fix you;
For you are not broken.
I will not heal you;
For I see you, in your wholeness.
I will walk with you through the darkness
as you remember your light."

What makes you feel grounded?
Becoming aware of my breath and feeling the support of the ground helps me to stay present and grounded.

What practices support your mental and emotional well-being?

Slow, long exhales help to calm my nervous system and embodied movement practices such as Non-Linear Movement Method, 5Rhythms and TRE allow me to connect with myself, release tension and de-stress.

What is your favourite music to practice to?
Currently my favourite song to practice to is "On the Nature of Daylight", by Max Richter.
