About
Hi, I'm Ben. I am an integrative psychotherapist providing therapy to individuals, couples, and groups. I live in Urunga, together with my partner and our (young at heart) doggo.
Alongside my journey of growth, development, and training, I have been a white collar worker, a blue collar worker, a wanderer and an avid appreciator of hard rock.
This broad life experience helps me connect with many kinds of people in my therapeutic practice and really get them. I love helping people discover who they are and how to live the life they want to live.
therapeutic Style
I guide us to find out how therapy can work best for you, discover and clarify the goals of our therapy, and decide together what we will do to support you.
I hold this collaboration with patience, kindness and compassion. I create a safe relationship and place - to explore how you experience and make sense your life in the present moment. We bring attention and care to what is happening in your mind, body and relationships.

Modality & Approach
My approach is informed by research on attachment, trauma, human development, and complex systems. I work from a developmental perspective - meaning that we discover how it is you came to be experiencing suffering and, and what you can develop or grow in order to overcome challenges.
I angle towards a strengths based approach which means we pay attention to what you're good at, not just the difficult things.
I utilise
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Person-Centred Therapy
Mentalisation-based approaches.
Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Therapy for Couples.
