Style
I work with clients supporting them with curiosity and empathy about their beliefs, values and learned behaviors. In the counselling space the client in relationship with me will be encouraged to reflect on their own relationships and behavior and gain an understanding of their values and meaning to make changes in their life. I use the space, focusing on the client’s needs to provide psychoeducation and information to support their understanding of medical diagnoses impacting on them, in particular a cancer diagnosis and treatment impact. I work to enable their own capacity to improve their health and physical wellbeing.
Modality & Approach
Client centered approach, utilising Existential and Narrative understanding with empathy and understanding. Brief Solutions Focused model, constructing optimistic solutions rather than spiralling down in the problem.
