Provisional Psychologist
We have openings for provisional psychologists seeking a 5+1 internship. We offer a pathway to general registration through direct client work and opportunities for professional development in a professional mental health setting.
Candidates must have previous experience working directly with clients in a therapeutic setting and will be required to arrange their own external board-approved primary supervision. Harbour Therapy Clinic provides fortnightly group supervision with an onsite board-approved supervisor.
Role Requirements
Provide psycho-social wellbeing assessments and develop subsequent treatment pathways in collaboration with clients
Work effectively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure a timely and collaborative treatment approach
Provide direct trauma informed counselling and psychological services as part of Harbour Therapy Clinic’s commitment to improving the mental and social wellbeing of children, young people, adults and families. This includes services provided through a range of funding sources
Work autonomously in their duties, under adequate supervision, and within professional practice and organisational guidelines
This position reports directly to the Clinic Director. Appointments will be made subject to six months’ probation, periodic performance reviews, and continued clearance from criminal history and working with children checks.
