Nicole Hind is a private practitioner at Harbour Therapy Clinic, Coffs Harbour. Nicole's practice is founded on the belief that many people are burdened by problem stories. Dominant negative narratives that get in the way of the lives they want for themselves and in relationship with others. When it comes to being our most preferred selves or sharing our lives with others, so many factors get in the way of our dreams. When things are smooth it's hard to imagine roadblocks, so when we get hit by struggle it's a horrible shock. Life can become unsettling and scary.
Nicole has 15 years of experience in helping individuals and folks in relationships re-author problem stories that are getting in the way of their lives. You are not the problem: the problem is the problem. It is possible to define problems (without blame n shame) and get to the heart of the matter.
She has helped a diverse range of folks:
Nicole is particularly well-suited to working with people who are looking for a 'middle ground' in counselling. She isn't clinical and isn't going to 'diagnose' you but she isn't going to just sit and nod either. She invites curiosity into the room and asks questions through a lens that open fresh views, alternatives to the broken record playing in your home. She's interested in exploring your values- what is most meaningful to YOU and not just what society dictates- finding ways forward by walking alongside you.
Nicole would like to help you live more freely and have more of what you want (not just 'basic needs' although they sure are important too). You can not only deal with pain, but also develop skills for life, making decisions with a sense of clarity no matter what the world throws at you. And- yes- you can be happier.

- Find their way back to loving their partner (facing problems together rather than aiming shots at each other)
- Understand trauma and recover from it's stranglehold
- Overcome anxiety (because you are not your anxiety)
- Grieve the loss of a loved one
- Feel more in control of their own behaviour (noticing and being conscious of feelings as they arise and respond rather than react)
