Lisa is a registered psychologist in private practice, Mindfulness Psychology and Wellbeing, at Harbour Therapy Clinic in Coffs Harbour. Lisa has a special interest in the area of health, prevention and wellbeing that merges with a personal interest in yoga and meditation. Much of the work in the area of chronic health and wellbeing is informed by research in the area of Integrative Medicine, with the seeds of this science being traced back to the groundbreaking work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
As well as working in private practice, Lisa is a trained teacher in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction and has participated in the 7 Day Mind Body Medicine Retreat with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli, and completed the Professional MBSR Practicum with Timothea Goddard and Bob Stahl, as well as the Teacher Development Intensive in Europe with Florence Meleo-Myer and Melissa Blacker from the Centre for Mindfulness in Medicine and Health Care.
In private practice, Lisa uses mindfulness-based and other therapies in working individually with clients, and runs regular Trauma Yoga classes and workshops.
Lisa is registered to provide individual sessions through Medicare, Victims Services, WorkCover, and various EAP providers.
