This group is for those people who find themselves wanting extra support in their day to day living as they learn to face life on it's own terms without dependency on mood altering substances. The group setting offers ongoing support and feedback on how to navigate the complexities of their emotional social, physical and spiritual worlds . This group is open to those who have chosen an abstinence model of recovery but does not preference any particular program. Relapse is an inevitable stumbling block for some who are trying abstinence for the first time. Relapse therefore is not a reason for a member to be excluded but it will be at the discretion of the therapist as to whether the continuation of relapse episode will be in the best interest of the group as a whole.
